During her time as a women's basketball player at the University of Kentucky, Alyssa Rice found ways to impact the game both on and off the court. Raised in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Rice played and started in all 32 games of her senior season and finished her career with 93 blocks which ranks ninth in program history. She has also found ways to remain heavily involved on campus and in the community as a member of SAAC, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Amachi mentoring program. Alyssa is also the Chair of the SEC Women's Basketball Leadership Council, SEC Autonomy Representative, and a member of the NCAA Women's Basketball Competition Committee. In May, Alyssa graduated with a degree in Accounting and a minor in both Communications and Psychology. She will finish her undergraduate career with a 3.9 cumulative GPA and as a four year SEC Honor Roll member. In her senior year, Rice was names both the SEC and University of Kentucky Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In August, she will be attending graduate school at Ohio University as a part of the MBA/MSA dual degree program in goal of perusing a career in sports operations.
