HOPE BAXTER, NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY

Hope Baxter is a well known member of North Carolina Central University’s cheerleading team serving as a captain while studying Mass Communication. Baxter boasts an array of experiences as president of Eagle Access and the National Association of Black Journalists. She also serves as a mentor with Eagle Alliances.

Baxter also runs a YouTube channel that showcased make-up tutorials, NCCU's student life and campus news. Baxter balances being a campus leader, her academics and cheerleading while giving back to her school. Will Smith once stated, “If you're not making someone else's life better, then you are wasting your time.  Your life will become better by making others lives better.”  Baxter, an extremely dedicated and eager student, lives by this quote because she not only wants to better herself, but she wants to better the community around her by expanding NCCU’s student media outlets.
