REGGIE JENNINGS, SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE
Reggie Jennings, a native of Chicago, IL will complete his master’s degree in Higher Education from Southeast Missouri State University this May. In August of 2010, Reggie began his collegiate career at Lincoln University (MO) as a student-athlete on the football team where he set a freshman record for most tackles in a season. He transferred to Southeast the following spring as a walk on. Through hard work and perseverance he earned a full athletic scholarship after redshirting for one year.At Southeast, he played in every contest and started 43 of 46 career games. Reggie was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and was selected by his fellow teammates to be 1 of 7 members on the leadership council. While playing football, Reggie was a member of the Association of Black Collegians (ABC) and maintained a 3.5 GPA. He graduated Cum Laude in 2014 with a degree in Criminal Justice with a Spanish minor.
Reggie is currently a graduate assistant for the Academic Support Center, specifically Student Support Services and TRIO. He is also the Vice President of The Black Student Union (BSU) and has been a volunteer coach for the football team since the spring of 2017. His career aspiration is to be an Athletic Director at a Power 5 university or a Historically Black College or University. Reggie enjoys mentoring, staying in shape, and passing on an optimistic and winning mindset to others.
