Atlanta native Martin Stephenson is currently working on his 15th TOUR Championship.  After graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2003 Martin began working with the PGA TOUR in Tournament Operations for the TOUR Championship played at Champions Golf Club in Houston, TX. He continued with the TOUR Championship in 2004 when it moved to its permanent home in Atlanta at historic East Lake Golf Club.  In 2005 Martin joined the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers organization and worked through the 2006-07 Seasons.  In 2007, when the TOUR Championship was announced as the FedExCup Playoff Finale, the season-ending event for the PGA TOUR, he returned as the sales manager for the TOUR Championship and the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, then played in Savannah.  In 2015 the PGA TOUR promoted Martin to tournament director for the TOUR Championship. In his role, Martin focuses on the tournament’s corporate partnerships, business development, fan experience, media relations and marketing.  Martin lives in Atlanta with his wife Anne, their two young boys, Gibson and Sanders and their two-year old daughter, Katherine Carlyle.
