Lindsey Spann

A native of Laurel, Maryland, Lindsey is a graduate of South Carolina University. Before transferring to South Carolina to compete as a graduate student on the Gamecocks’ women’s basketball team, Lindsey graduate and was a member of the women’s basketball team at Penn State University. Academically, Lindsey has received recognition as an Academic All-Big Ten student and South Eastern Conference Athletic Director Honor Roll student. Athletically, she has received recognition as a 1,000-point scorer at Penn State, All-Big Ten selection, and All-Big Ten Honorable Mention. Lindsey served as a Graduate Assistant for the women’s basketball team at South Carolina. She recently completed her Master’s in Sports Management. 

Lindsey is a firm believer in exchanging thoughts and ideas and learning from others. She practices that passion through her active role in Link Group. Link Group is a church-based group that affords members the opportunity to connect with people in the community and discuss situations going on in their lives. This profound experience has allowed Lindsey to build intentional relationships and get a new perspective on life. 

Lindsey aspires to work in the front office of a professional sports team and understand that working in the front office of a sports team requires vulnerability. You have to be open to being uncomfortable and difficult conversations. Lindsey hopes that the Winning Edge Game Changing Retreat will continue to prepare her for uncomfortable situations in her pursuit of a front office spots position.
